What happens here

To begin the sanding process, the contoured edges of the workpiece are addressed first. The user employs a 3x4 orbital sander, referred to as an 'Ecosand sander from Sandy', fitted with a specific abrasive: a 'half inch open celled Echo silk and abrasive'. This type of abrasive is flexible, allowing it to conform effectively to the curves and intricate shapes of contoured edges, ensuring a smooth and even removal of material without damaging the workpiece's form.
