What happens here

To power the pull plow, a hole needs to be drilled into the truck bed for the power supply cable. Using a drill with a hole saw attachment, create a suitably sized hole in the truck bed, typically near the tailgate. Ensure the location allows for easy routing of the cables without interference from other components. Once the hole is drilled, use a grommet to protect the cable from chafing against the metal edge and route the power cable through it.

Goal: Create an entry point for the plow's power cable into the truck bed.

Tools and materials

  • Grommet — Protecting the power cable where it passes through the metal
  • Hole Saw — Creating a clean, circular hole
