THE FARM WILL NEVER BE THE SAME...FIRES!!...AND HUGE CLEARING PROJECT

hey folks it's Josh Turner rich farmer welcome to the farm blog today as you can see we've got a lot going on I had a subscriber say it's 30 rich farmer why always wear a hat well so I don't get sunburned on top of my head I just cut my hair for the summer cut nice and cool feels good want to take it and show you what these guys are doing we're basically clearing a bunch of land will probably be clearing somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 more acres here and if you look back you can see the pond and the water right there these guys are humping it okay so what the Stoney Ridge farm is named for you're gonna see in just a minute it will take you long show you what these guys are doing and give you a little bit of insight into what our plans are here on the Stoney Ridge farm what the cost is like and everything like that so we'll walk you through it alright come on let's have some fun [Music] so folks you are wondering why we call it the Stoney Ridge farm look at all these rocks out here they're just rocks scattered about all over the place this is an area where we have the timber cut and what's left over are these huge stumps so these guys are in here with the excavator and they're grubbing up the stumps pulling those up and throwing them up in the air to try and shake the dirt off of them and put them in a big pile down here we'll walk down to show you real quick so back here behind me the excavator is picking up stuff and the bulldozer is coming so let me get out of the way it's dangerous to be around these guys if they don't know where you are so you really need to have a presence you really need them to see you and know where you are and basically he's pushing this pile of debris back there so that the excavator can throw those things up in the air pile them up tall and then we'll burn them so this is going to be a huge burn pile probably in the next day or two it's supposed to rain tomorrow I don't know if they'll light it up tonight we've got a lot of wind going on right now but huge huge operation so this machine right here is costing me $100 an hour and this machine right here is costing me $100 an hour that's 200 bucks an hour $1,600 a day and these guys have been at this for about almost a day maybe three-quarters of a day pretty cool they make some progress really quick what we're going to do after we get the stumps out is just clear this all off and make beautiful pasture and have a beautiful rolling Hill right over my pond and right out to the rest of the farm it's gonna be awesome give you some footage here what he's doing basically just tossing these things up in the air and they weigh thousands of pounds is what you can't see shaking it just trying to get all that dirt off of it so that it will burn and you look behind him and they're already burned piles burning I'll get you some really cool drone footage of this stuff too [Music] probably by the end of the day all these stumps will be in a big tall pile right here and we'll have a nice place to burn them so folks if this is your first time to the Stoney Ridge farm click that like button click that subscribe button follow us on our journey we're taking some overgrown abandoned worn-out land and we're making it into a beautiful beautiful farm these guys are working their butts off this is a huge major major undertaking we'll probably be spending somewhere in a neighborhood of twenty two thousand dollars to have this area of land cleared and I'll take the drone over you'll fly over you'll see everything that we're clearing just give you a little bit of footage of what's going on here so I'm gonna say bye from here and we'll bring you back in the next day or so when we get some more fires lit and stuff we'll keep you posted and keep you updated on all this but really cool a lot of stuff going on I just let you watch for a little bit now get out of here so thanks a lot for watching sunny ridge farmer today guys I appreciate you this is what's going on on the farm today there's always something really special going on here on the farm this is gonna change the landscape of the farm forever and I'm really excited so thanks a lot we'll see you next time on Stoney Ridge farming all right guys this is like a coordinated dance it's really cool to watch I can just sit here and watch these guys for hours something really fun to watch looks like the fire is kind of getting out over there a little bit [Music] so that [Music] since our there [Applause] [Music]
