(8,468 characters)now. It really got windy. Better. Okay, so anyhow, guys, this week's plans, we've got a lot going on. Okay, I've got to service the tractor. We'll walk over here to to our John Deere tractor. I've got to get this tractor serviced this week, and people are still saying the wind is bad. So, anyway, I'm just going to keep talking. I've got to service that tractor this week. We also have to service the Gator this week. We've got a guy coming to work on our silver Dodge. Our uh cruise control isn't quite working just right on it. And I'm a brat. I'm a spoiled brat, I guess, because I want my cruise control to work. I want everything to work. The brake lights on. We've got a wheel speed sensor that's gone bad. So anyway, um we've got a little bit of hay on the back of the truck as you can see. We'll get that unloaded here probably in the next vlog or so. And we've got to get down and do some vehicle service. So, it's going to be nice. Very, very nice. So, um, what else will be going on on the farm this week? You know, we did a little goat swapping. So, we swapped off some goats for some mechanic work on the truck here and on the old Bronco. So, we're going to get the old Bronco brakes fixed and we're going to keep it on the farm for a little while, guys. I I think I think that's a good thing. Really don't want to get rid of that Bronco, but, you know, we're going to hang on to it. It's just part of my family history, I guess. So, the goats are right back there. And this is all hay that I bailed up this year. And lessons learned, I will never ever again use what's called sisle twine. Here, let's walk over here. I'll show you. Um, this is the sisle twine right here. Uh, right there. That's our sisle twine. As you can see, it took about one rainstorm for this stuff to just fall apart. So, we won't use sisle twine anymore because we'll be storing our hay outside and that's just fine for cows and not a lot of people are feeding these big round bales to horses anyway. So, believe it or not, guys. So, I bailed this hay up and hay around here, the price of hay is not what it is in the rest of the country and the price of land isn't what it is in the rest of the country. There are folks selling these thousand pound round bales of hay for 20 bucks around here. I can't buy my diesel fuel for that. It's crazy, crazy, crazy. So, what's happening is the goats are in this little pin back here and they're going through I think there's about 22 goats now and they're burning through about one big,000lb bail of hay every 4 days or so. So, with the springtime weather in here, I've just been stockpiling hay up here to feed the goats. And you see all this beautiful green grass back here. Well, the goats will be on the grass soon enough. I'll be moving them from paddic to paddic here. And you can see behind me the different paddics that are already marked out right there. So, I'll be moving the goats around paddic to paddic in this field and trying to get some of that good butt fertilizer that we like. And speaking of uh manure or butt fertilizer, we've got the big manure pile right here. And in the next week or so, we're going to use I'll show you this, the manure spreader. So, this is our manure spreader. I'll take you over here and show you. It basically is going to either pull behind the tractor or the gator. And we'll load it up with manure. And this rotating system right here rotates. I'll show you real quick. We'll go back here and show you how it works. um $1,000 piece of equipment. You would have never ever thought that this piece of equipment would cost a thousand bucks, but it's a thousand bucks. So, um this little thing, it moves inside there. And basically, these tines, these little hooks right here that you're seeing are designed to break up the uh manure and the hay clumps and stuff. And then these paddles right here, you can see those really good right there. those paddles, those are designed to smack. So, basically, if they're big hunks of of manure and stuff like that in there, they'll just smack them. So, if you're new to the vlog, you may not have seen this. The wind is blowing again. Thank you. So, right here is our compost pile. Okay, so we have composting horse manure back here and we're going to use this composting horse manure to put on some spots down next to our driveway. Spread it out a little bit. Get a little bit of that good butt fertilizer in the soil. We fertilized, we limed, we did everything we possibly could, but there's certain places here on the farm that just need biomass. They just need some manure on them. So, we'll take that around this week and get that done. So, that's it. That's what's going on on the farm this week. The last one I did, the last video I did, um, was about something pretty political and I had to pull it. So, a lot of people asked about that. Uh, I had to pull it. So, there are certain rules we have to play by here on YouTube and I respect those rules. And if I got to play by those rules to to stay on YouTube and keep making content for you guys, then that's the rules I'm going to play by. So, um, you know, there are other ways of getting my point across, like this hat. So, anyhow, guys, I just wanted to take you around today, let you know. Also, today is the last day of the Stony Ridge Farmer T-shirts. I'm not even wearing one today. They're all in the wash. Been wearing them around the farm and wearing them to the gym. It's the last day of the Stony Ridge Farmer T-shirts. So, if you want a Stony Ridge Farmer shirt, go get it now because they will not be available. Okay? They will not be available. And Matt Collins just says there they should allow free speech. Matt, YouTube's a business. Um, and you know, I believe in free speech also, but YouTube is not the forum for all free speech. So, we're finding. So, um, I don't have to agree with everything that everybody else does, but I guess YouTube's not my soap box. And I hate to say that, but it can't be my soap box. My soap box is right here, right there. The farm, the fun, taking you guys on an adventure with me and showing you the farm growing. That's my soap box. So, um, just wanted to talk to you guys a little bit today. Once again, today's the last day, the final 12 hours. The Stony Ridge Farmer T-shirts will only be available until midnight tonight. So, just wanted to let you guys know and lead you into this week. Tell you what's going to go on. Got some fun stuff going on. We got to go get this truck unloaded. All right, so let's have some fun. Thanks a lot, guys. Come on back and see me here on the Stony Ridge Farm. Probably didn't learn a whole lot, but you do know what we're going to be doing in the next couple weeks. Um, grass is growing. Farm's looking good. Nice and beautiful and green. Everything looks wonderful. So really, really happy, really happy with everything. So, thanks a lot, guys. I appreciate you coming to see me. If there's something you'd really like to see, post a comment down there. Post me some comments down there of some things that you'd really like to see. Okay? I have not fixed the Dodge Cumins pickup yet. I'm trying to get together with a drive shaft shop, a local shop here, so we can take the drive shaft off, take you guys in there, and show you how a drive shaft is balanced. I thought that'd be a really cool video to show you guys some stuff. I've never seen a drive shaft balance. So, that's why the uh the pickup truck has not been fixed yet. The Cumins diesel truck. I mean, it runs and drives and everything, but it it is the bearing underneath there that supports There's an airplane flying over. It is the bearing carrier bearing that supports the drive shaft. So, you guys see I'm really close to an airport, but not that close. Can you see that guy? Right there he is. They like doing some low flybys. The other day there was a Blackhawk helicopter flying over my property. Like really, really low. I think they're searching out a special kind of crop. Thanks a lot, guys. Come on back and see me on the Stony Ridge Farm. I appreciate you. We'll see you next time. We'll probably get a video out uh tomorrow morning and we'll just keep rolling them out this week, okay? Have some fun. We'll show you how we change the oil and the hydraulic filter on the tractor. And we'll also probably be servicing the uh what you call it, the Bobcat right there, too. All right, see you next time, guys. Thanks a lot.
