The Farm That Changed: Why I'm Not Running My Farm Like Grandpa Did

What happens here

Install frost-free watering systems, such as the Miraco 3390, and repurpose old tractor tires to create additional water tanks. This involves trenching a mile of 1.25 inch poly pipe across the farm to supply water. The Miraco system features a blue ball that cows push to access water, keeping the water clean and preventing freezing. For tire water tanks, a chainsaw (Toro brand) is used to cut the inner rim of large tractor tires. PVC pipes are then installed to create a central water inlet and drain, ensuring a continuous supply of fresh water.

Goal: Provide accessible, clean, and freeze-proof water sources for cattle across the farm.
