The Day I Broke My Excavator and All Hell broke loose

What happens here

Despite conflicting information from both the utility locate service and the property owner, the crew decided to follow their 'gut' and properly repair the improperly installed sanitary line. What could have been a simple, inexpensive repair if done during the initial trenching, escalated to a $13,000 cost due to the need for deeper excavation and specialized work after the fact. The video shows Bobcat skid steers actively digging and moving soil to properly expose and address the buried line, as well as a large Mack dump truck delivering additional fill dirt for the backfill process. This step demonstrates the commitment to integrity and proper construction practices, even when faced with significant unexpected costs.

Goal: Correctly repair and re-bury the improperly installed sanitary line.
