Install Roofing Underlayment and Shingles

What happens here

With the roof sheathing in place, the roofing underlayment (likely tar paper or synthetic felt) is installed to provide a waterproof barrier. This is applied in overlapping layers, starting from the bottom edge and moving upwards. Following the underlayment, the final roofing material, typically asphalt shingles, is installed. A specialized roofing machine (from Gasper Roofing) is used to transport bundles of shingles to the roof, where workers methodically lay and secure them, completing the weatherproof envelope of the covered patio.
