hey guys it's josh tony rich farmer if you haven't checked out my channel i've got a blog on our farm and we do a lot of farm videos a lot of farm related stuff and i normally don't do a whole lot of reviews but i've got a review here and this is a road microphone okay this is the road wireless film maker kit okay this kit right here i wanted to explain something to you it's what i use for most of my audio in my videos and it allows me to be able to walk around and talk while I'm not facing the camera and I'm way far away I'm gonna put a link down below to this kit right here I got it on Amazon and I got it on the Amazon warehouse deal see where it says inspected warehouse deal I don't know if I had to do it again if I would get a warehouse deal this packaging is like coffee and stuff all over it but this isn't an unboxing I've already opened the box I've already used this thing and I wanted to give you a quick review of what I think about it I'm using it outdoors I'm using it in the wind I'm using it in places that might get wet I'm using it all over everywhere so I'm gonna give you a couple tips and I want to talk to you a little bit about what I have and I want to tell you something that's the most important the customer service that I receive from rode microphones so evidently rode is a subsidiary company of Apple that being said their products are really good and they stand by their products just as Apple stands by their products but you don't have to wait at the Apple store which is awesome so let me show you what I've got here so this is my little camera setup this is all I use I use a little Sony 4k handy cam I'll post a link to it - it's the FDR ax 33 right now obviously I'm not filming on that I'm just doing this on my iPhone 6 but this is the rode mic setup right here okay this is what I have I have it attached to the little cleat here on top of my camera and it's pretty simple you just turn the power on here and then this is the receiver says receiver on it and this is the transmitter and this is where you might connects and connects to this little thing right here the tips I have for you is don't make the mistake and not use the screw type connector right here tighten it up nicely because if you don't you'll get a lot of popping and clicking so do that okay mine came with this mic with the fuzz ball on the end I don't think the kit typically comes with that I started to contact Amazon but then I got to thinking you know I'm out in the wind I'm out in the weather and this thing works great in the wind I was out the wind was blowing fifteen to thirty miles an hour the other day and I had no wind problems with this this just clips to your belt very simple little clip attachment here watch this thing it will come off pay attention to it pay attention to where you put it okay so we'll move right along basically I just wrapped my cord wire around this and I cannot disconnect it but I'll show you there's a little tab on the back right here and press that tab and do your little slide out and that's where you replace your batteries I've got it on the +10 decibel setting I put it on the plus twenty decibel setting and it's like you don't want that okay you don't even want to hear that right now in this video anyhow it links to itself there's no problem right there you just slide this little cover on and if you want to mount it on a tripod you've got these little tabs you unscrew those and you can mount it on a tripod it comes with two little mounts now let's talk about what customer service I received from Road okay so I received this product from Amazon and I put it on the camera and put it out on my tripod and first thing I did was knock my camera over this thing Byam hit the dirt it hit the dirt heart to the wind caught it and I was trying to film a truck spreading fertilizer great big truck spreading fertilizer on my farm and I set this thing on a hillside took off running to go catch the truck and then pop this thing fell so it snapped this little piece right here and it broke this and it broke that so I called road mics because I couldn't seem to find the product that I needed to fix this well guys I called their customer service line I asked them you know where I can get this stuff low and it right here well how do I get it how much is it and what do I do here's what I do boom here don't look at my address there's my name so road microphones right here sit me for free this complimentary package of the things that I broke and this is my first time opening it this stuff you can you can buy on Amazon all these little products but they sent me to one two three four four of the little cleats that go on here because these cleats are designed to break away if your if your microphone decides it's gonna fall or you're an idiot and you put it on the hillside like me and also they sent the little road link plug with the little screw type thing on here so guys I cannot say enough I was very leery of spending $400 almost $400 on this road link mic set up this customer service that rode provided me totally wipes away any fear of spending that much money on a microphone set up guys Stoney Ridge farmer me recommends this road link mic setup okay right here's what it looks like here's what the box looks like we've already gotten it out of the box we've used it a couple days very easy to use very simple and these people stand behind their products so impressed guys check out the road link mic on Amazon I post a link down there below and also this little Sony camera has been great too I'm not gonna do a review of the camera but I'll tell you right now for making YouTube videos for making 4k videos if you've got a computer fast enough to process your 4k videos this is a great camera okay the little Sony 4k so thanks for watching guys I'm gonna get off here get to work on my farm blog just wanted to post something about a product that I think is awesome and worthy of talking about nobody has customer service like this anymore I called and they just sent me a package of free stuff nobody as customer service like this thank you link for your good customer service all right Pierce we've had some ways Denise don't Erie Oh
