The best of Makita's NEW Power tools at World of concrete 2020

all right guys where is the world the concrete we're at the makita booth today we're gonna be checking out the latest and greatest the newest tools here and equipment and innovation coming at you guys like in 2020 so I'll wasting more time let's find our first product you look closely you can actually see where it's collecting the metal shavings in that clear holiday yeah so here we have the excess co4 it has 5 and 7/8 metal cutting blade on it you cut up to two and a quarter inch it's also perfect for two-inch conduit I mean it has a great chip collector here for safety and the best thing about it also is that you go use our 18 volt battery so Makita has a full line of concrete hammers drills breakers and in one of their booths they claim that their battery power will be there corded and we're gonna get to neutral people to do the test for us let's do it now all right how to sweet hey bumper today yes let me ask a serious question though was that impressive for battery power or that I was impressed watching I don't know about you guys I know we're gonna win I thought I was gonna win well I guess for me also this is a powerful told but then then this one right here but I don't know what I know maybe he didn't push enough okay now what about the court I mean the difference is Edgar can go anywhere with this yeah you stuck well this the dad does is on the other point for oh yeah whether he won or not it was so close you should be able to use [Music] how do you guys compare to Milwaukee and duat which both have a similar technology out there right so one one component is the tween 1/2 inch cutting def technology we have quite a bit of cutting depth but also the overall power as I mentioned earlier 80 millimeter motor which is one of our our latest innovations and brushless motors really delivers that power that's required to be able to be able to do that most applications with with no with no problems but it also has what's called a aft anti feedback technology so what anti feedback technology does is that when you're cutting any especially in any metal applications you get those scenarios where you might bind up the wheel and so what this what this does is that aft will shut the Machine off in a millisecond whenever it binds up so that it doesn't give that high torque reaction so here we have yeah we have the xes oh for rebar cutter it cuts up to number five rebars to use it up on a draw hydraulic form to cut it has the same body as our drill so the ergonomics is already there but the best part about it it uses our 18 volt battery which serves our platform for all our tools and you ready to go [Music] guys are cutting their last cord on job sites they're switching from what they've always used going for lists because the product today is Dustin class and it's awesome that there's so many other manufacturers now that have since introduced cordless products but we're still the best and guys are converting out No it's a smoothest cutting saw it's the most control of cutting the answer is you have to get a feel for it and that's what we're doing here at the show allowing users to get a feel for why Makita is still after three years the best brushless cordless seven and a quarter inch career and row circular saw on the market today [Music] so guys what we're looking at is the key to set up a booth where they took their rear handle and top handle saws and put them up against the steel rear handle ms1 70 and steel top handle saw it's a race to the first two two cuts and my goal with this was to have the gas beat the battery let's see if we can pull it off hi boys I was pushing it I was trying I wanted to win I am so sick EU women every single time I've watched him do this over and over a guy after guy after guy come in here now my goal was to whoop you not gonna happen not gonna happen all right so what are we looking at what career Hannah go star X 2 0 4 16 inch bar and chain once again put on fresh this morning the same thing with the steel and we're going up against what steel saw ms/ms 170 next we race with the top handle saws and a new matter if Roman was use menteur highway music I was doing the best I could to beat it and the battery won every single time let's take a closer look because I want you guys to know exactly how they were doing this demonstrate let's put them side by each this is the macness of the chain that the makita came with right yes sir and this is the the chain grant as it's brand brand-new just drawn this morning this morning just boys morning and they both made the same amount of cuts same amount of cuts barn chain brand new fresh oil so you can see how many cuts they've made cuz they're all laying right here so Makena has a backpack system that will hook up to every single tool in their lineup it's hooked up right now to a blower but you can hook this up to any tool that Makita offers and double or triple your run time with this tethered system let's find out a little bit more and what is this gonna be so this backpack is actually gonna be available in the market in the next month we're gonna be launching this I don't have that information just yet but we're gonna have that pretty soon any idea what tips just going to depend on what you're using to sell it with it's lower right here around mid settings you're looking at thirty minutes so if you go ahead and use this backpack you're gonna double your run time because again for batteries two batteries are gonna double it there if I wanted to change out this adapter I do have an engage people adapter so if I used it with this over down here do you stop you're gonna give me more time we about a run time so that that's what you're gonna basically be thinking is what tool am i using and then you'll be able to calculate run time that way correct what we call them is dummy batteries right here so that it's going to be compatible really what we wanted to focus on with this is compatibility all right you guys Nikita actually has a lot of new light off right so here we've got lights up here lights down here what is yeah this brand new so the section our website right now they're in warehouse so you can get them right now it's ten thousand lumens we have its little brother right here which is three thousand levels and then you've got what do you call this one so it's our upright area line that's gonna be five and a half thousand lumens on full high it'll also do 180 left or right so I've seen wobbly lights before what makes this one better different unique so not only is it the light quality there but it is also chainable so you can plug it in as an out you can chain up to eight of them but then it is on our lxd platform so there's two batteries in there and that's two batteries for runtime it's 18 volts so you can't run it off with one battery if you just okay but then it's also got a really nice piano right here and weight balance tough easy to carry it's got built-in cord storage for your AC power and then another nice like side feature of it is it's a really good quality upright light but you can lay it all the way down and will stay down and that's great because you can stack them you can peloton you can film in a truck and they won't slide around it won't involve if you intentionally make yours now you've also got a brand new radio system put enough yeah those are great these are Bluetooth speakers and what's really good about these they'll change together so if I have two of them plugged into each other we're not plugged into sorry compared to each other they'll work is left and right stereo and you can put ten of these together and once you're in multiple mode alt n will be mono you said if there's a one but they're in a mesh network so they'll go all over you telling me that the guy could buy ten of these put them all around his house have amazing stereo throne as a whole house grab one or two bring it out to a job site have it out there and have it being a hundred percent tax you got four more yep yeah really good quality sound out of those radios Jimmy yeah baby that's a good way to get 10x to be next to radios out of it I dig it I mean this sound really they sound really good and they control each other too so if I turn the volume up on this one when they're bare it'll do that to all of them so say you are on a job site you need to get it quiet real quick you got 10 radios out if I mute this one mute all time this is a new design sign Makita is a shaft drive the floor right yeah so which is going to be our 13th attachment and our couple chopped attachment so it is that steel drive Chuck you're seeing here and you'll see right here is where it attaches so this will go good on you can use this on the battery power multi-tool platform or the gas powered motor racks right exactly this is gonna be available in late spring and it's 480 CFM 130 miles per hour 473 so this one's going to be more power guys I'm back with Carlos and we've got something that coming out brand-new or I knew it hasn't been seen will be available this summer all right what are we looking okay we are launching the some new lines of impact wrenches all right first off we're going to be these will be available in both lagering and detent versions but we have some new feature session I'd like to talk about on the new compact size that we have out there the new ones will be XM bt 14 and 15 this will now have 240 foot pounds versus 210 so we put more torque but we've added a lot more feature sense and I'm gonna walk you through that but I'm gonna walk it through it on our new mid torque baby we have right here again available this summer this will deliver 5/16 and forward 7:38 in Reverse making it the strongest impact wrench in this class on the market today so let's talk about auto stop so an auto stop forward number one and stop for me on the first strike so now I can go back and take my torque wrench and finish off my application you know crank me without cracking the concrete wherever I'm familiar the difference between one two and three is how long it stops impacting while you're squeezing the trigger so number three it will stop impacting after a second so in Reverse model stop number one it's gonna stop for me after it loosens enough see that okay now let me show you what happens on auto stop three you switch it over to three this is a really neat feature it's gonna stop impact and then reduce is a hard p.m. so it's going to take that nut up for me I don't have to do it with my fingers or loosen it on purpose because these things are yeah this is a violent violent tool a lot of impacting going inside of it right so what we're seeing with a lot of the competition is you're seeing the handles crack out there today so I'm the ex wt0 a that's been out for a while a lot of people don't realize that this is floating handle design here dampens the vibration away from the control board in the battery given the tool a lot more live especially when it comes to cracking the handle or the missing the connection so here we have the xes o6 it cuts up to number 8 rebar or 1 inch threaded rod it has the same grinder body as our grinder so the ergonomics are taken care of if you want a flush cut if it cuts up to eighth of an inch off the ground all right you
