What happens here

The video introduces the two common wood fasteners, a screw with a hex head and a sharp point, and a smooth-shank nail with a flat head, which will be the subjects of the strength comparison. It then displays a custom-built wooden test rig, consisting of a vertical frame and a horizontal beam, within which wooden test pieces can be clamped. A red hydraulic pump with a connected pressure gauge is shown, positioned to apply force to the test pieces. This setup is designed to measure the force required to separate wooden joints secured by these fasteners.

Goal: Understand the fasteners to be tested and the experimental setup for strength comparison
