Super Easy Fix For My Slow Draining Bathroom Sink!

hey folks that fix it guy here and today we're going to be looking at a slow draining sink in my bathroom okay so the last couple times i've shaved i've noticed that there was a little bit of a slow drain issue with this bathroom sink so today i'm going to show you how to take out a newer style pop-up assembly that you don't have to get below to do anything with everything is done from above the sink so come along let's get to fixing okay so this is the pop-up assembly right here this particular model actually is a price fister this is not like a normal one where you'd be able to grab up here and pull this up to close this it doesn't work that way so this particular one you push down to close it it clicks and then that clicks open and so i'm going to show you how to remove this like in a traditional bathroom sink drain you don't have to go from below to loosen up that little arm that holds this piece in place all you do with this style right here is you just take it and you go counterclockwise spin this bad boy out oh my gosh yeah well this video right here it's helping me and my wife because she said she didn't know how to do this and you can see that the reason why the sink is draining slow is because of her hair really my hair is not that long it's long so we're going to go ahead we'll get this cleaned off if you folks like the content please subscribe to the channel click that like button we would love to have you keep coming back i'm just trying to do things that would help people out and in this case this is helping me out a lot so maybe now i'll be able to uh drain my sink a little faster when i shave so you just want to get this stuff out of there it's just hair and funk and oh gosh man look at that [Music] yum got most of that cleaned off there a little bit of this needs rinsed out okay we're gonna wipe that out a little bit too look at that there's some serious funk build up in the bottom of this thing any kind of sink train is a little bit funky right but these in particular i feel like let's see what that looks like oh gosh yeah yeah that's got some gnarly nasty in it man okay let's try to get all that off there that we can dude okay give that another clean off here real looking much better this is definitely a cool style pop-up assembly right it's nice that you don't have to go down below to take it off to make sure it comes apart they've made this much simpler this is easy to come out but a couple things like one i don't like the way i mean so much funk seems to build up in that it's pretty gnarly it seems to build up pretty quick right here but i guess the fact that my wife knows how to do it now is gonna maybe save me from doing it so much um but the way that this is and it kind of stops up on here it just gets real funky real quick i feel like i've cleaned this out way more than i've ever cleaned out a regular pop-up assembly but you know it is what it is that i guess tit for tat you uh you get a cool little feature and then you lose something with it as well right okay so we'll go ahead and we'll put this back in place right super easy you just simply put it down in the hole get it aligned and then go clockwise turn it until it stops and you're good to rock and roll you're back in business you're able to fill your sink back up okay so i went ahead and i filled this up to where i normally do when i shave and so now we'll just go ahead and drain it see what it looks like yeah you can hear the water draining much better we actually even got a little vortex right there perfect it's good to go okay folks so that's how you remove and reinstall a click to close style pop-up assembly if you've got some kind of debris in there it just is a lot easier to take off these days a lot of um new bathroom faucets are coming with this style i know price mister i see them on everything these days i've installed a lot of them they work really well and it seems like other manufacturers are doing it as well right um so i really hope you guys enjoyed the video i know that i enjoyed the video or i i know that i enjoyed making the video today because this in turn means that now my wife's gonna watch the video and she's gonna be able to hook that up so i love that i really hope that this helps somebody if you could please subscribe to the channel we would greatly appreciate it we're really just trying to help people out i really hope that we're doing that and i hope we can do it again real soon thank you very much and have a great day
