Insert Backer Rod into the Gap

down there. It's going to give some backing for the caulking to actually sit on so you don't just have this endless space. There's different size backer rods. Right here I've got a pretty big backer rod cuz the gap right here is about an inch right there, an inch to an inch and a quarter, then it goes almost down to nothing, and then it gets to about a half an inch or quarter inch right there. So, backer rod, we're just going to stuff it down there. The backer rod also helps your your your sealant or Big Stretch perform even better. So, just going to take and stuff it down in here.
