What happens here

This project provides a comprehensive comparison between Stihl's gas-powered KombiSystem (KM 111 R) and its newer battery-powered counterparts (KMA 130 R and KMA 135 R). Various attachments, including pole saws, string trimmers, blowers, paddle brooms, and brush cutters, are tested head-to-head in real-world scenarios, evaluating their power, efficiency, and overall performance for potential DIY and professional use.

alright guys today it's gas versus battery Steel has said this time and time again that their newest battery-powered system can compare with their gas-powered system well we're gonna be putting the pedal to the metal science who cares we're testing Cass versus battery today what are we gonna be actually using for tools we've got the trimmers we got tillers blowers and then the blade attachments for the weed whip and we're gonna be putting them head-to-head their own a series of different tests so we're gonna find out for sure how well this thing goes without wasting any more time let the fight begin we're going to be taking a closer look at both of these power heads left right [Music] you can't step to the gas no damn step to the gas all right guys let's go in and actually see what we're putting head-to-head today so here's the backstory the guys from steel actually contact me and said would you be interested in doing a test where we take our battery system this is the steel Combee system running the KMA 130r and do a series of tests head-to-head against their new gas system the steel km 111 are and what they were telling me is that they anticipated that I wouldn't notice a difference between the gas and the battery and I said I'm all up for that cuz that sounds like a really cool test so some of the things that we tested today our panel rooms we are gonna be testing we're gonna put this cultivator head to the test just to see that's not gonna be a head-to-head we're just gonna see how it runs it but we're putting the paddle room with pole saws the blowers which turned out I mean that blew me out of the water brush cutting heads and we're gonna see what happens we don't know just the answer maybe a couple questions this video is not sponsored by steel period steel does not get to see what happens in this video before the video gets released so if you're watching this video right now there's maybe a good chance that you're seeing it before the people from steel see it cuz I'm not sending it what happened they'll find out along with all of us so we wait plus get back into the video [Music] I was actually some tired and I was surprised they kept up yeah that's comparable all right yeah that was how you say that don't don't seem like it's gonna know that was yeah so far you guys have decided that the pole saw the gas pull side kicks the battery pulsar Bunch absolutely okay yeah yeah he had two cuts to my one okay okay but but now with the weed whip steve gregg/richmond the weed whip was next tonight yeah it was it played with the blade killer too yeah what do you mean that blade trimmer old solid blade so okay so those are you know those are two attachments that typically get used more than the pole saw the pole saw gets pulled out once every 30 to 60 days yeah you know for whatever oh no home owner application though that would be great yeah but that's not a home owner tool that's a contractor tool dude dude they're spending close to a thousand bucks for the core system so they want to know what they're getting so next up is the blowers and the cultivator and the power broom it this is the pile of leaves let's just see the wins I don't know how we're gonna determine a winner on this [Music] Hey [Music] Hey [Music] I was beginning I was fiddling with trying to get the power to get up out of the gate I overall these are way better floors and I would have all wet yeah way better I thought honestly you guys I was thinking that these blowers we're gonna be a job so today they these were these would legitimately work with commercial so I would say so absolutely I would definitely say and I like the balance of those yeah they're ruthless unit like the the power room was unwieldy that thing was kind of heavy and just this you know holy crap I know are you kidding me this is nothing this is like a like a ninja [Applause] all right let's look really straight let's really try to dig in all right you guys this is wet please this is wet stuck into the curb fraught half frozen leaves because I mean heck it's snowing while they're filming and we're getting six inches of snow tonight so we're gonna see how well this blower actually cleans this curb line do that because no nope and it was getting a lot of the frozen stuff yeah and you were doing it one-handed and you were doing it one-handed press with that I'm really impressed with this blower I like those ones I looked at this and I'm like do I really get it I really gotta test this this looks like a pile of crap and this is one of those times where I'm eating every word I ever thought about this thing Wow Wow [Music] alright guys we're gonna read the test with a bring you guys a little bit closer it Sam's on gas working when you plug it in okay so here's the setup dowels this is gonna be testing what is it a brush cutter attachment yeah brush cutter attachment on the end of it so we've got small medium large let's take a look at it that's about an inch dowel that's about 7/8 and that's around a half inch or so and then it goes back up actually the size is right on this anyone's our inch and a quarter inch and a quarter and then these ones are an inch in those ones these ones were seven eight seven eight it's okay alright and so we're just gonna see how these things go battery versus gas on the dowel test all right start in the center okay crap I didn't think you didn't think they were gonna go through that they went through quick - lets so this is the head oh this is a pretty chunky blade on here I haven't ever used one where it's like that I've always just had a you know like a Diablo saw blade or something like that on there and that I'm thoroughly impressed with these things all right I'm gonna I'm gonna go on the record right now saying the new steel Combee system the battery as far as I'm concerned has kept up with the gas we actually putting this steel km 111 are versus the Kombi km a 130 our battery battery power battery in this system equals gas I'm gonna say it's right now Ida there's nothing we did where there was like a clear-cut decisive winner yet right nope they've been real close except for with the panel guns which I would say the battery power was about just by just a Titch and then there's a little pitch with the blower's where yours might have been better but I don't know I was working with the window - okay so all right you guys that's all we got for today you guys tell me what you think of this video I was seriously not expecting much and this battery powered system is definitely Wow Wow
