hey guys this Josh sty Ridge farmer I wanted to talk to you a little bit about what we're doing here we've lended up some trees and I wanted to talk to you and show you a little demonstration of this still model ht56c okay this is a pole saw big long pole saw it's about 8 ft long and uh we're using it to trim up these peacon trees here in the yard so I kind of want to do a quick review of this thing tell you what I think about it tell you what I like about it what I don't like about it I've already used it I've already cut this stuff down and we'll tell you what I don't like about it and what I do like about it when you get this thing this blade is sharp it's tiny it's a 10in little uh blade little bar on here it is sharp it is razor sharp it does a very good job cutting uh you've got a oil container right here for your bar oil so it keeps the chain nice and cool and keeps it sharp for a long time uh this thing comes apart there's a little knob right here and you just basically slide it apart so you can store it easily in your garage so this is a homeowner grade product this is not a commercial product this is a homeowner grade product the commercial one's a lot bigger a lot more beefy a lot stronger but I've used it for about a year on the farm and probably ran 10 or 15 tanks of gas through it it's done really really well guys so if you're considering a pole saw don't be cheap don't go the cheap route don't get that crappy stuff that old Remington or whatever it is that you're looking at look at these pole saws if you're only cutting a few limbs you might want to check a rental place see if they have anything but the steel P saw has really done a good job for me thought I would take you through it show you what it's all about fuel tanks here got a choke over here on this side basically when you first start it turn your choke all the way up pull the cord it should start in a first or second pull no problem you got a little pump thing right here you pump a few times first okay this thing starts quick boom so I've been using it a little bit but one pull and not really even a whole pull half a pull okay doesn't take a really strong person to do this so if your arms aren't very strong or something like that or if you're a little bit elderly or you've had surgery or something like that you can really start this thing easy there done just wanted to demonstrate it for you a little bit show you how I cut the limbs out of the trees stuff like that so oh I'm Josh this is Stony Ridge Farm around me are 200 Acres of farm here okay and we're having some Timber cut we're going to get some Drone footage of the stuff dropping show you some cool stuff guys click that like button help me out a little bit subscribe to the channel if you like what you see there's all sorts of stuff going on on the farm we'll tell you about the equipment we use we'll tell you about the things that we do maintenance issues maintenance things whether we like something whether we don't and we'll also take you along on our journey building this farm so come along with me guys let's check out this saw woo oh I forgot to tell you there's nothing that I don't like about this saw this thing is awesome it does a great job [Music] Stony Ridge Stony [Music] Ridge so guys we'll go ahead and fire the saw up get her started here and we'll go ahead and trim back some of these limbs I give you some basic technique here we go up and then we cut down okay then we take that nub off just like so okay get this limb out of the way here okay so guys I give you some good basic technique here basically you take your limb cut down low and cut up high watch it drop and trim your nub off okay once again cut up then cut down limb [Applause] drops cut your nub off again okay we'll try one more time up here cut and drop it off that's the way you do it we'll do one more for you we cut up then we cut down and the basic principle behind this is you're cutting so that you don't pinch your saw blade in your wood okay if you got little limbs little limbs will drop off no problem so from here guys we're just going to limb this tree up okay [Music] [Applause] [Music] she's gone and left me it's Tuesday [Music] K and I I'm tired of smelling her permanent gin I read the B to say it's a s that I let her come back home time and again so guys and GS that's the basic gist of it okay really only took about 10 minutes to trim this tree back and we we're basically trimming it back so that we can look off our front porch and see way down the Hill here we're opening things up making them bigger and therefore we've got to cut the trees up a little higher so hopefully they'll do fine we'll take a look at them make sure we got all the limbs that we wanted clean up our mess with our tractor back here um that's it so guys thanks for watching the Vlog I really appreciate you don't forget to click that like button if you like what you see come back subscribe to the channel I really need you okay trying to get this channel up and going this is basically a farm Vlog it tells everything that's going on on our farm we've got about 200 Acres if you haven't been here before you're here now subscribe to the channel give me some thumbs up leave me some comments I know I I'm wearing a nice hard hat and we need to than Safety First not wearing pants not wearing chaps normally I'll wear chaps and pants but since we're working overhead I really didn't feel the need for them I do have steel toe boots on though in case I smash a toe so thanks for watching guys come on back and see me okay woo come on down to Theon Ridge bring your wife and bring your kids for living life pure and sweet that's the way it's supposed to be Stony R woo
