Starlink Internet? Elon...what's going on? Price up, service down?

these are the network outages for my starlink for the past 24 hours Elon Musk I know you must be Batman but Batman you need to fix your Internet buddy you're overcharging us now and you've slowed down and now it's unreliable starlink going bye-bye it's buffering now it's buffering the speed [Music] testone hey there folks this is Josh Stone rich farmer welcome back to the farm Channel today we're going to be talking about something that's applicable to everybody who's watching because you're watching on the internet right so guys about two two and a half years ago maybe even three years ago I invested about 500 bucks in the most reliable internet source that I could possibly find which was starlink internet man I did a review about two weeks into that and I was getting good speeds I think up to like 250 MVPs something like that really good speeds upload speed download speed I create content for social media and I depend on my internet all the time to work properly and it's not working properly so this is going to be about a two two and a half year review of starlink and guys I honestly don't know if I'd recommend it anymore so let's get down and dirty here I'm pulling up so on on your starlink internet here you can pull up on your phone on the app all the outages and things that are going on so first of all I'm going to do a speed test on this thing and we'll show you guys real quick here's a speed test sometimes it's good sometimes it's not so 6665 Mbps right now 50 milliseconds latency that's barely over dialup right I don't know uh so I'm looking here says check uh yep so we're totally connected everything is good to go run Advanced speed test Wi-Fi speed and starlink speed start Advanced speed test so we're going to do that real quick for you guys we'll give you the results you can see it working right here the app is fantastic starlink has been great however it's starting to not be good and my bill started out about 90 bucks and now it's 120 bucks per month and I can get Spectrum internet up here to the house for 80 bucks per month at nearly three to five times a speed 120 Mbps is my up uh excuse me download speed and 15 is my upload speed so back in the day I had horrible horrible internet here I had uh Century Link Internet that's what it was and the fastest internet I could get was about 15 download speed which is fast enough for me to watch a movie on the TV and to stream YouTube videos and stuff like that but it was taking me I had 0.5 Mbps upload speed so it would take me nearly eight hours to upload an 8 minute YouTube video that was rough it was really rough then starlink came out hughet was absolutely off The Rocker just completely overpriced and useless for me my father had hughet constant issues and the internet was absolutely ridiculously expensive so starlink became the affordable rural internet solution right it is no longer the affordable rural internet solution and it's becoming a not so good solution to rural internet so let me show you real quick we're going to pull the app up again and we'll show you guys exactly what we have going on so outages these are all of the outages that I've experienced over the last 24 hours 2:18 p.m 1:30 p.m. this is just today 218 130 12:22 11:21 10:58 and all night long 4:16 419 423 424 425 a.m. Network issue Network issue down 16 seconds 15 seconds 8 seconds what does this mean this means if you're watching a movie or if you're uploading a video or if you're downloading a video if you're using your internet you're going to buffer so here in the last two or three months I've experienced a lot of downtime and a lot of latency when it comes to my internet here is my unobstructed starlink and here is my view of the sky right here at my house I don't have trees and issues like other people with starlink are having I don't have it up on my roof I've got it set right down here on the ground I did buy the roof mount but I didn't want to put a hole in my roof in order to install a satellite internet that I didn't know whether it was going to be permanent or not and it's not going to be permanent anymore I'm totally disappointed guys so I showed you all the downtime that we had have I showed you the speeds so the speeds can vary from 220 all the way down to zero on and off all day all evening all morning all the time I'll be answering emails and all of a sudden my email goes down I'll click Send and it won't send it that is disappointing so I've done all the firmware upgrades that I'm supposed to do I've done every single thing that I'm supposed to do I'm being charged $30 more per month for my starlink internet with no end in sight when it comes to The increased cost of the internet and guys I honestly don't think that I could recommend starlink to you so now that I've had starlink for I'm going to say two and a half maybe three years it started out as 90 bucks a month now it's 120 bucks a month it started out awesome and now it's going slow I've upgraded and done all my firmware upgrades and everything that I'm supposed to do with starlink internet Elon I posed this question to you what is going on with your internet do you have too many customers Now using the internet I guess about a year and a half into owning starlink a notification came out an email came to me that said we're going to be throttling your speeds down now this was never part of the original deal and I spent 500 bucks for the Satellite Dish to come here to use but this was never part of the deal so the rules got changed about I'm going to say it was about a year ago something like that so here here's what you've done Mr musk and I if you want to comment on this if you're watching this maybe guys if if you know Elon uh send this to him I love what you're doing I'm really interested in SpaceX I'm really interested in what you're doing with people I'm really interested in all the advancements that you are reaching out for I'm interested in Tesla I'm interested in electric cars I'm interested in all sorts of Technology but this is a failing technology right now and I need your advice and I need others advice that are watching this video video if you live in a rural area what do you use for internet is your starlink failing you like it's failing me what should I do if I can get Spectrum internet right up here to the house for nearly half the price at twice the speed why wouldn't I do it that's the question has starlink internet fallen off do you use starlink internet or were you scared to spend the 500 bucks and have the experience that I'm having right now now I spent 500 bucks you changed the rules you throttled my speeds it's an unreliable Network now and I don't know what to say other than guys if you're thinking about starlink internet do your research and if this is part of your research I live in rural North Carolina we had very very slow internet two years ago starlink internet became available to me and I used it I got it as quickly as I possibly could it upped my production I was was able to upload videos I was able to watch Andy Griffin show on TV without it buffering and now I can put on a show in the evening time a movie or whatever or watch something on the Internet and it buffers the internet's going down you saw on my phone how many down times we had in the past 24 hours I have no obstructions everything is completely set up statistics Wise It's probably down right now my cell phone data has been faster than my starlink internet and in fact I have used my cell phone hotspot as Internet in multiple cases since my starlink has become absolutely unreliable let's go speed test it one more time and I can already tell it's buffering now it's buffering the speed test I can already tell we're going to have a bad result on our speed test here this thing again was pulling 220 250 Mbps and now it's just buffering so what am I supposed to do guys this was going to be just a fun little video to help teach you about starlink internet I can't even get the speed test to work now that's how bad my starlink has become and I don't know why I don't know what's going on Elon you up the price I get it things cost more but quality has suffered and you're going to start losing customers man so step it up I'd love to remain a customer Starling but I don't want to pay pay twice as much as I would pay another carrier to provide my internet and have unreliable service guys I don't recommend starlink internet I did when I first got it because it was awesome but it's falling off are you guys experiencing the same thing post a comment down there and let me know I love the idea I love what elon's into I love that he's Innovative and I do think that he might be Batman but my starlink has
