What happens here

This DIY project details the process of repairing a leaking outdoor faucet (hose bib) by replacing internal components like O-rings and washers, adding missing hardware, sealing leaks, and securing the faucet to the wall. The repair aims to stop drips and ensure the faucet is functional without major plumbing intervention.

Hopefully that seats in good shape. Right out of the store, I grabbed a faucet repair o-ring kit because this o-ring's pretty specific. It takes a number seven o-ring. Put the new one on. We grab our assorted flat washer and bib screw set. Yeah, that looks good. Put the double zeros on the bottom. Little silicone grease. This did not have a nut on it. I found something that's gonna work great for us. It's a toilet bolt nut right there. There's a little bit of a leak right around this. We're gonna have to put something in there to seal it up. I also bought some of these faucet washers. One in here. You know what? Just cause, let's put a little tough one on here. All right, get back up in there. You can see there's no drip there now. My neighbor made up some shims while I was working. Drill some holes, screw those in place. We'll see how long it lasts, man. It's a repair. Sometimes it doesn't work. And yes, we got to get into the wall. We make a whole bigger project. But right now, we're good to go.
