Prepare Trench and Lay Geotextile Fabric

What happens here

Begin by ensuring the trench is properly excavated with the desired slope for effective water drainage. Carefully unroll the non-woven geotextile fabric (also known as landscape fabric or drainage fabric) along the bottom and sides of the entire length of the trench. Ensure there is enough excess fabric on both sides to later wrap over the top of the drainage gravel. The fabric serves to prevent soil from mixing with the drainage aggregate.

Goal: Create a lined trench ready for pipe and gravel.
