Does the silly gun replace a normal caulk gun? Let's get after it. First things first, tube cutter. Silly gun does not. Next, puncture the hole in the top of the tube. Normal caulk guns, it either swings out from the side, the back, the underneath. Silly gun has one as well and it's located right here in the handle. If you can get it out. The one thing that I like about the caulk gun is I can rotate my tube to get a different angle. A couple problems that I see with the silly gun, this grip tape in here. How long is this grip tape going to last you? As well as difficulty cleaning. As you can tell, I have some caulk in there from previous jobs and I think that might be a little pain to get out of there. How do you load the silly gun? Well, you have your clutch. You go on ahead and you pull it on your clutch and you slip your tube in there and then just squeeze. Now, on the silly gun, it does have a nice hook. I will give it that and it is very compact compared to a normal caulk gun. But, let's run some beads. So, just hit the trigger squeeze. Here's a demonstration of where I thought that the silly gun would really shine and it it kind of doesn't. I could caulk this not horrible but now look at the other caulk gun. Now, you just take a normal caulk gun, rotate your tube to what angle you want and this longer reach is actually helping me out in this scenario right here. So, just rotate the tube wherever you want and go ahead and just zip it right down there. Now, one cool thing about the silly gun is that you can trim this excess off the back end here. So, just take a knife or a scissors or whatever you have and you can go ahead and you can actually trim this. Once you trim it off, then you truly do have a smaller caulk gun. Does this replace this? Absolutely not. I'm going to keep this one around. Now, I could see where this could be useful though, whether you're behind a toilet, up underneath a cabinet, or you need the compact space, or the loop for when you're climbing on ladders, I could see where this could come in handy as a specialty tool, not as an everyday use. Now, if you're a homeowner, like most of you guys are, this is $4, this is $34. You guys do with the information as you wish. I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to give this 6 more months and see if my opinion on it has changed. It's Saturday. I got stuff to do. I'll catch you guys later. Peace.
