Apply Paint to Soffit

What happens here

With the work area prepared and the airless spray equipment properly set up and primed, you can begin applying paint to the soffit. As clearly demonstrated in the video, hold the spray gun, attached to its extension pole, maintaining a consistent distance from the surface of the soffit (typically 10-12 inches, though this can vary based on tip and pressure settings). Use a smooth, continuous, and overlapping motion, moving parallel to the soffit surface to ensure even coverage. The painter in the video shows an upward spraying motion, systematically covering the entire area. To avoid paint buildup at the start and end of each pass, begin spraying just before reaching the edge of the target area, move across the entire section, and release the trigger just after leaving the opposite edge. Apply several thin coats of paint rather than one thick coat; this allows for better adhesion, a more uniform finish, and prevents drips or runs. Allow adequate drying time between coats as recommended by the paint manufacturer.
