What happens here

This project demonstrates the essential technique of scribing to achieve a perfect, gap-free fit when installing trim pieces, such as crown molding, against uneven walls or ceilings. It covers marking the contour of the irregular surface onto the trim piece, which then guides the cutting or sanding process for a custom fit.

[snorts] >> This is how we scribe these crown pieces. Take this, put it up here. Get it on your set marks. Usually clamp these. Then you take your pencil to your scribe, run it along this mark here. Bring it over here. That's a good mark to go off of to scribe, jigsaw, or use a sander. So, it works good for, you know, some of these spots you got a inch here, inch and a half up there. Ceiling's probably a half inch off. You know, you know what they say, if it ain't tight, it ain't right.
