Sawmilling Knotty pine reveals Surprise inside!

What happens here

The operator loads the first pine log onto the sawmill bed. He starts the sawmill and engages the blade. As the blade travels through the log, water from the LubeMizer system continuously drips onto the blade, preventing sticky pine sap from accumulating and dulling the blade. He makes several passes to remove the rounded outer sections (slabs) and create a flat surface on top of the log. Each slab is removed from the saw bed as it is cut.

Goal: Create the first flat surface on the log.
