(3,824 characters)Bob graciously invited me over to help him out with this door. We've got a heavy garage door right here. And you see the gap at the top of this? Well, look, as we go down, it just gets bigger and bigger and bigger. We're going to fix this up for him real quick. So, come along. Let's get to fixing. You can see right here that it actually is pulling out of there. I think these screws are stripping. They used to all be straight and flush. So, we're going to go ahead. We're going to pop this off. We're going to get this hooked up. Little run to the hardware store. You're going to be back up and running. We're up here at the top hinge. And we've got some Phillips head screws. These look like a number two. And we're going to remove these. Oh yeah, dude. Those are small, too. for such a heavy door. That's kind of crazy. I got to get this moved over a little bit. And we're also going to add a longer screw to this. This is eigh inch dowel. We can just go right in these holes. I mean, if you didn't have this, you could use some toothpicks, but I mean, go in as far as you can. And you're just replacing wood at this point, right? And you can just pop that off. And we'll do that with everyone as far as we can go here. Get some of that old stuff out of there. And you do that. Okay. Where does that piece go? All right. So, after I broke that off a little bit, a little more manageable now. Get that all hooked up there in the bottom. Let's take that in just a little bit. See what we got. Okay. Awesome. So, now all those holes are good. We're going to go right back in those same holes. Bob is down here on the floor giving us a little wedge with a crescent wrench. You know, using tools like they're intended instead of little oneinch screws, longer two and a half inchers in there. Here we go. You got that braced up, Bob? >> I do. >> There we go. Now we've got it secured. Let's go ahead and shut this door and see what we got here. Oh yeah, that's all the way to that edge. It's great to see what a little bit of 8 inch dow and some couple longer screws. Yeah. Look at that. >> Yeah. Way better. The whole way down. That's awesome. Good. Yeah. And I think those longer screws. I bet he doesn't deal with this for a long time. This is a heavy door. Check it out. Now, this locks as well, where he said you used to have to go up and pull forward to make this work. Good to go. So, we're doing one more right here. You can see that it sagged a little bit over time. So, Bob's got a pry bar this time. We're going to we're going to rock this out, dude. Some of this popped in here as well. So, back as far as we can go and then break it off. This dow you can just pick up at your local hardware store. It's very nice this way. Bob's got his pry bar down here holding the door up. No, you want to go higher. Definitely a little bit higher. Uh, yeah, that's good right there. All right. And the hinge is all matched up there. Looks a lot better than it was. And we'll go ahead and get this screwed in place. We're going to use 2 and 1/2 in instead of the 2 in that were in there. This is definitely setting better than it was. Yeah, we're sitting good. And once again, I don't think you should have any issue out of this door hinge right here anymore as far as sagging. Good to rock and roll. Bob said that he used to have to lift up on the door handle to get the deadbolt to lock and now we're just smooth sailing here. Okay, so that is probably the biggest telltale sign for him is that now his door actually locks, which having to pick up on this big thing all the time seems pretty wild.
