(6,954 characters)Okay, we have a tub shower right here that I think is pretty stopped up So let's just see what we've got rolling. You can see that this is filling up. I mean, it's taking a while to drain out of there We're gonna start with the most basic here. We'll see what we got Pop this screw right here out and see if there is something there It's mullable everyday carry on you guys have seen this thing. I love it I love it just because it's a utility knife and it has the screwdriver both flathead and Phillips head All right. Oh, yeah, so all right, so I got a little little nose vise grip here And we're just gonna get down in there and we're gonna see if we can pull out I think we're gonna have to get a little way to though As much as we're trying I don't think we're gonna get any more out of that drain right there that There is a little bit more there, but I don't think it's coming. So Go right here. We're gonna run our snake down this and There's a chance that at the tea right down here where this drain shoe connects to this overflow It kind of sets it goes back and then this goes down and it connects I bet we pull out everything that's right here within there by removing this for this job You're gonna want to get a little hand snake to put a drain cover back over that just so we don't lose a screw down the drain No one wants that Those popped out of there now this whole piece will just slide up and out and you can see that it's clogged I can't see through it. Actually, this has a double-wasting overflow gasket No, no, we're gonna grab this new little easy spin-rigid snake here. This is hand crank only small compact and What's nice is you just hold down the trigger start turning and it's gonna start going in you let go of this trigger And it's just gonna sit there and spin for you Okay, now I'm never a fan of running a snake backwards. So I'm probably not gonna pull it back in like this Okay, I'm probably just gonna pull it back in this way and you can still do that But this is a nice little new small snake from rigid. Let's give this a go Just start by hand feeding this Okay, right there is that tea. I feel it. I bet there's a hair clog like crazy right there then squeeze the trigger a little bit Let it work Okay, so I'm kind of feeding it down in Let's see. It's not coming back up this way. I don't see it in the drain at all Which is great So now I feel like we're let's go a little bit more. Let's get past the key trap Okay, and now we will just pull this out some plumbers are gonna tell you especially when you're going down old Waste and overflows that a hand crank snake is probably your best way to roll just because You don't want to be forcing something down with power that potentially can destroy a drain that's in there because you don't know Until you start getting a leak from below and This way you're just soft. You're giving it a gentle touch and now we're gonna go ahead and we'll just pull this back out Like I said, I don't like spinning a snake in reverse Okay, that would just potentially get rid of the clog that's on the head There's nothing on there, which I'm very surprised Okay, a lot of times you're gonna know point something big out of there. I mean there was Something on there. There's a little bit of hair But nothing crazy and that's draining pretty good the other thing is is that This tub stopper right here is pretty young dope So that could actually be the claws as well is that you really only have a little hole Right there to drain through which typically it's the whole bell right there So we're gonna clean this out as well and we'll reassemble this and see what we're looking at So this right here will go down and block your flow And allow you to fill up your tub and then when you're showering it actually is just gonna let water go through Well, you could see that I mean look at the difference now and you got you know full port going here Okay, she guys didn't know screw drivers are used for everything in the plumbing worlds, right So let's clean out. Let's go ahead Just get this put back in there Then just a little bit just try to bend it back up straight There you go And we'll just get this other drain piece screwed back down on there So hooked up and we're gonna see what's happening So We've got that running We're gonna let it fill up and then we'll drain it and see how well it looks All right, so I mean that's a good amount of water right there Let's just see what we got happen in here The water's going down, but it's not draining as fast as I think it should It could still be stopped up But I wonder if the double gasket is making a drain slow So after a little further research here This seal is too much because you see this right here It's also like a little bit of event for your path to drain faster The seal is on right They just put a double seal on it for some reason and I don't know why It doesn't need that Okay, I wanted to make sure because if like that's a seal right there If there wasn't a seal right there Well then I would push this back a little bit put a new one on This other one because it isn't good shape but like for some reason double seal And I think you're preventing this from actually working the way that it needs to So let's pop this back in There we go I really like twist twist and lock seals these days Now we're back sometimes a little tricky right Sometimes you got to troubleshoot a little bit more than what you thought And I can still feel the gasket on the back side pushing there right so it's good And now that this is working correctly Now let's fill it again and see if there's a difference Let's drain this and see what we're looking at here So there we go now Can hear it in here where you're kind of supposed to You can tell that it's really draining. I feel like it's draining faster. We have a vortex Way earlier We're going to run the shower for a minute too. Yeah, that's draining away faster We will Some water Cool to the burger Let's just let it run All right, so that wasn't quite done Which is great. It wasn't quite done But it's still it's flowing like a champ now Okay, good Well, we're rocking and rolling before it was filling up while shower and now it's not Here to go Like my friend Bob pointed out we really had three problems with this shower But that drain solder was completely clogged up I mean there was a lot that there was nothing you couldn't put a pencil through that hole That was clogged up with gum the second thing is that I mean there was some hair in there To roll with that and the third waste and overflow Gasquet was also like there was an extra one in there on the wrong side That I think was preventing some airflow and not allowing proper drainage All right, well, I mean that's what I got for you today. I really hope the videos are helping You know, we're just trying to help people. We hope we're doing that. Thank you very much And we'll see you again real soon
