RIVERFRONT BACKYARD BUILD Pt 5 - Fixing Mistakes and Deck Details
What happens here
Construct a custom bar frame using 2x4 lumber. Cut the 2x4s to the desired lengths and screw them together to form a sturdy, rectangular, ladder-like structure. This frame is designed to integrate with the existing railing posts, which were left longer specifically for this purpose. With the help of another person, carefully lift the assembled bar frame and position it on top of the railing posts. Ensure the frame is centered and sits securely. The frame is designed to overhang the railing by approximately 10 inches, providing ample counter space. Once positioned, use a sledgehammer or rubber mallet to gently but firmly tap the frame into place, ensuring a tight fit on the posts. Afterward, secure the frame to the railing posts using screws and a cordless drill.
Goal: Create a robust bar frame and securely integrate it onto the deck railings.
