Introduction to the 1992 IROC Dodge Daytona

that's funny I do have to ask you about the the Daytona here I've never ever seen one of these in person it's really it's kind of almost a little shocking looking to see it from behind cuz I'm it's just like whoa wait a minute what is that it's an amazing car I mean I'm looking at the body you know St on it uh it's that thing's been living under a blanket for about 15 years uh matter of fact first time I got it out where you could see it um but it's a kind of a story behind this thing um the story I guess on this car I I was lucky enough to uh we finished second in the championship uh at uh in IR uh well the cup series I finished second to nhart in 1991 and part of that by by finishing so well and the points had a good year but Henrick in in 91 but I was um I was invited to run the irck series in '92 and so that was I mean to me that's that that was the class of everything because you're competing against like your andredes your unter you know all the Indie Car Guys and I think Eddie CH from Formula 1 was in the event and Ray Hall and I mean to me the greatest drivers not just in cup but around the United States and the world and to have an invitation to be able to just run in that series and that's why this car means something to me probably doesn't mean as much to other people but it does to me but what happened is we won the championship won the IRA Championship that year and a couple things came of that but one of the cool things is that I was invited to go fly with the Blue Angels and I got a chance to do that because uh that was something that the iro Champion was invited to do so that was Aviation is probably my
