a remarkable person really his talent not to have gone away as old as you know we're all getting now oh yeah he still got it who were at vs he uh his PX car has got one of the same Motors in it and once he got out there and got used to it there was another guy behind him who had like a 2015 Hendrick car sb2 and all that couldn't catch him Lakes over there in a a 30-year-old Thunderbird funny story a lot of people don't realize this when I first started RPM I raced him I left Hendrick and we we only had a short period of time maybe 6 months to get not even 6 months so it was probably like four months to get to the Daytona 500 Lake had his shop and at that time he was between sponsors so but Lake and I got sat down together we needed cars built we needed them in a hurry so Lake one of my first short track cars that I had at rpm10 we didn't have enough mechanics to get enough cars built so Lake had a lot of his guys he had recently lost his sponsor so he had payroll to make and he had some good talented people he didn't want let him go so we basically worked a business deal with Lake we took care of his payroll for about couple of months and they helped us build a you know they built at least one good short track car for us and part of another one uh and and it worked good for Lake because it bought him some time he kept his people working and it helped me because we needed cars and we couldn't get them built quick enough that's interesting he never told that story before that's pretty cool if you're thinking it I'm going to say it we need to see Ricky drive that car again if you want to see that happen too speak up in the comments say something I know they said peer pressure is bad when you're a kid they like don't listen to peer pressure all that stuff well we need to try that we need to Pure pressure Ricky rodden to driving this car again because that would be the coolest freaking thing that I don't know if you're going to see an old driver hop back into a car and get out on a road course and have a foot cam it's Ricky we got to make that happen and who knows maybe we could even get lak speed to go with us and uh get him back out of retirement again or at least just show up to hang out and I don't know work on the car or something he
