Restoring Our Vacant 70s Compound House and Shops! Small Wins and Radical Changes

What happens here

The homeowner describes ascending to the roof to address a water leak in their motorhome, caused by faulty old sealant. While there, she noticed standing water on another roof due to accumulated leaves. She used an EGO leaf blower to clear the leaves from the motorhome and another roof, despite realizing there was a small, persistent leak from a skylight that had seemingly been fixed before. She then describes discovering a third flue in a chimney, suggesting a previously unused fireplace option in the master bedroom, which she plans to investigate.

Goal: Perform roof repairs and maintenance, and discover a potential fireplace option.

the Edmond Fitzgerald at 7:00 p.m. Anyway, it was leaking up there. So, I crawled up there, blew the leaves off, put some die core on that, and then I was up there and I noticed standing water on here and I thought, "Wow, I should really get up there and blow those leaves off, too, cuz that skylight has a problem with leaking and heavy rain." thought we fixed it, but I guess there's a tiny leak that came back. But, uh, you can totally see how the ADHD squirrel brain works. So, I go up there, I'm like, "Oh, it's okay. I'll do that." And I'm like, "Oh, well, now I got to do that." And I'm like, "Well, I'm up here. I might as well do this, too." I've also discovered there's a third flu on this chimney. And the master bedroom is right there. And there's obviously a jut out in the wall where the chimney is. And I bet this guy built this house with the option to have a fireplace in the master bedroom. I can I don't know what else the the third flu could be for because the main one's for the main one. The little one's for the one in the basement. I used the echo blower to clear off all of this a few days ago. It was clean maybe. Yeah, probably 3 days ago. Now you can't see the driveway again. And I have all the doors open on Uncle Rob. That's our Yukon. For those of you who don't know, my dad bought that new. Then my uncle drove it for 12 years. And then he gave it to me and we put a turbo on it. >> You know how to do a burnout? and but I'll try. >> So, we call it Uncle Rob cuz that's my uncle's name who gave me gave it to me. And we use it to move things over here, but all the things in there had their funky old gross building smell. So, I had the doors open to let it air out some. I really feel like Lion King up here. This is my kingdom. That little spot right there is not. And they have an easement to use our driveway. And our line goes down to a little bit into that pond kind of right through there back into that flat there all the way back comes to a corner just on the other side of the big building over there. Straight down the hill meets a corner. So it's kind of like that. I don't even know what's down there yet. I haven't been down there. But that little flat spot you could see between the pond and the bottom of the hill, that used to be farmed land back in the ' 50s, '60s, and way before that. I like it up here, but I should probably get down on before it
