QUICK AND EASY WAY TO CAP OFF WATER LINES!
What happens here
Now that the pipes are loose, it's time to cut out the old shower valve assembly. Use a RIDGID ratchet pipe cutter to make clean cuts on the copper pipes, starting with the pipes that feed into the shower valve. For areas with limited space, you can detach the cutting head of the RIDGID tool to make more precise cuts. The video shows cutting three main copper lines: the hot water, cold water, and the showerhead riser. Pay attention to any green patina or flux residue on the pipes, which indicates previous soldering work. This old assembly can then be completely removed.
Goal: Remove the existing shower valve and associated pipes
