The fully assembled new valve is then screwed onto the existing nipple in the ground. The user uses an adjustable wrench (backup wrench) to further tighten the connection, ensuring it is snug but not overtightened, as the nipple is buried and needs stability. He then inspects the end of the micro-irrigation tubing to ensure it has a clean, straight cut. If the tubing is stiff and difficult to insert, a small torch or heat gun can be used to warm the end, making it more flexible. Once pliable, the tubing is firmly pressed onto the barb fitting of the micro-irrigation adapter. After installation, the valve is set, ready for testing.
Goal: Secure the new valve assembly to the ground nipple and reattach the micro-irrigation tubing, using heat if necessary for flexibility.
