What happens here

This video showcases the operation of a Hypertherm ProStar PRS-8 plasma cutting machine, demonstrating how it is used to precisely cut intricate designs, specifically a shark-on-a-hook pattern, from 11-gauge mild steel sheet metal. The process involves loading a design into CAD/CAM software, setting cutting parameters, automatic plate height sensing, and the high-speed plasma cutting action, followed by the removal and inspection of the finished metal parts. The video also highlights the convenience of the Hypertherm PowermaxSYNC cartridge, which integrates multiple consumables into a single, easy-to-replace unit. *Note: The video content focuses on plasma cutting metal and does not demonstrate 'Woodworking > Power Tool & Machine Woodworking > CNC Router Wood Machining > Pocket Carving using End Mill' as specified in the request context.*

Check out this cool metal fish. So, I was walking by the Lindy booth and I mean, they're doing some welding over here. They're doing plasma cutting and Preston's going to tell us about this machine. Hey guys. So, yeah, this is our uh ProStar PRS8. It's our Lancer 1 series. It's a little little bit of a smaller unit, but pretty good for different hobbyist activities and just general cutting out on material. Right now, we're cutting about 11 gauge mild steel material out. Do is load in our image. So, after we're done drawing it, we just click it in, tell we're using 65 amp. We got air just being pumped through this thing. Tone on it where you can't really see it, but it'll come down. It's going to touch that plate, and that's going to tell you exactly how high your plate is. So, that's not going to ram into anything. Probably takes about less than a minute to get each one of our parts here. Now, the smaller you go and the more detail you add, obviously, the longer it takes cuz more pierces you have to go to. Kind of unit has a allin-one unit head like this to where the cathode, the swirl ring, everything is all kind of centralized in this one. So, I just have to screw it on, screw it off. Awesome. And you're ready to go. Unlike the other ones where you have to go through the whole process. All right. Well, thank you very much, Preston. I really appreciate it. Yeah, absolutely. No worries. Take this with you, dude.
