Quick and Easy Outdoor Steps

What happens here

Use a hand tamper to firmly compact the gravel in each step. This process helps the aggregate interlock, creating a solid and stable walking surface that resists displacement. Once compacted, pour MulchLock XL mulch glue (available at hardware stores or online) directly into a Ryobi paint sprayer. Do not dilute the glue. Spray an even coat of mulch glue over the gravel in each step. Allow each coat to dry for approximately 6 hours before applying the next. Apply two to three coats, especially for high-traffic areas, to ensure the gravel is fully bound and stabilized. This significantly reduces the chances of gravel scattering or shifting.

Goal: Stabilize gravel steps with compaction and mulch glue
