QUICK and EASY Fix for a Leaking Garden Hose Connection!

What happens here

If the old washer is stubborn or broken into pieces, use a flathead screwdriver or a multi-tool (like a Leatherman) to carefully pry out the old washer. Ensure all fragments of a damaged washer are removed to prevent interference with the new washer and ensure a proper seal.

Goal: Clear the hose connector of any old or damaged washer material.

that was a quick fix. That's because there was no washer, though. If you can't get this washer out of there, you're going to just grab a flathead screwdriver. In my case, I just grabbed my Leatherman and you're able to just pop this out. Sometimes these don't come out like this. This is a newer washer, so it's going to come out. Sometimes it comes out in chunks. Just make sure you get all the chunks out of there and you're able to put a new washer in. That's going to make sure you get a great seal.
