PTO Wood Chipper Put to the Test! Pole Saws, chainsaws and more!

What happens here

Josh moves to the next task: chipping an oak tree that had been dead for about a year. He notes that this will be the first time using the wood chipper with oak, a hard wood, which will truly test the machine. He explains that the Titan Attachments BX62S wood chipper runs on a tractor's Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft and requires 30-60 horsepower. His Massey Ferguson 240 tractor provides 40 PTO horsepower. He emphasizes the importance of releasing the PTO clutch gently to prevent breaking shear pins, explaining that the chipper's heavy flywheel does most of the cutting work. He starts the tractor and allows it to warm up for about 10 minutes while he begins cutting the fallen oak tree into smaller, manageable pieces using his Husqvarna chainsaw.

Goal: Prepare the wood chipper for operation and process large logs into chippable pieces.
