PTO Wood Chipper Put to the Test! Pole Saws, chainsaws and more!
What happens here
With the tractor and chipper running, Josh puts on a new pair of Wells Lamont safety gloves and begins feeding branches and limbs into the wood chipper's hopper. He demonstrates how the chipper is a self-feeding system, pulling the branches in automatically. He ensures the wood chips are spread out over the field by slowly rotating the chipper's output chute, preventing large piles. He notes that the chipper handles the oak wood, which is very hard, effectively. The goal is to distribute the wood chips (biomass) over the field to improve the soil, which was previously depleted from extensive tobacco farming.
Goal: Process tree branches into wood chips and distribute them evenly for soil enrichment.
