Professional Painters Bidding Tips. How to Bid Painting Projects

this is Chris the Idaho painter coming to you with a quick and simple tip and that's how to go about bidding painting projects and this is not an easy question to answer but I'm going to try to give you just a couple quick and simple pointers to go about bidding your in tier next tier projects if you want more in-depth information how to really make money bidding and really make money painting I've got a series that I'm going to be producing and I'll refer you to go and purchase and watch that series series on how to bid painting projects but here just to give you some quick quick and simple tips how I go about it and this is how I do it and I don't make it a complicated process a lot of painters are making it extremely complicated getting out measuring tapes and measuring things and making a long drawn out process and it taking a lot of time doing I just have come up with my geographical area in what a square foot price is that I can get for an interior or exterior repain and that is per the four square feet of the project so I'm going to just discuss real quickly here two projects and that's an exterior repaint and an interior repaint and I just take the floor square feet of the living space so if a house the floor square fet is 1,600 F feet interior exterior I have a price that I actually just multiply by the square feet to come up with what I'm willing to paint that project for and that square foot price includes all the L materials and labor to complete the project now I've come up with that price and on average that price is going to typically give me what it will take to paint that job and that's going to be the going rate and that area so you're going to have to look at your own geographical area what is the average paint job going for out there now if I was just to give you my square foot price on an exterior repaint here that is not going to pertain to your geographical area for instance up here in Idaho if I can get a dollar a square foot for a repay typically in California you're going to multiply that times three because you'll probably be getting $3 square foot so what I actually charge pricewise is typically not going to pertain to you you've got to determine what price you're willing to work for per square foot and then multiply that per square foot to give you your estimate number I make it extremely simple that's all I do for an interior exterior repay thanks for watching our videos and don't forget when you're done watching don't forget to like us share us and subscribe subscribe to our Channel
