Pool Apron Paver Patio + Firepit

What happens here

An integrated fire pit, as seen in the video, is typically constructed using pre-fabricated stone or concrete blocks designed for fire pit use. The blocks are stacked in a circular pattern, with each course offset slightly from the one below to create a sturdy, interlocking structure. A high-temperature concrete adhesive can be used to bond the blocks together for added stability. A steel fire ring insert is placed inside the block structure to contain the fire, protect the blocks from direct heat, and improve durability. The surrounding patio pavers are carefully cut to fit precisely around the fire pit's circular base, creating a seamless transition.

Goal: Build the integrated fire pit.

Tools and materials

  • Fire Pit Block Kit — Forming the structure of the fire pit
  • High-Temperature Concrete Adhesive — Bonding the fire pit blocks together
  • Level — Ensuring each course of blocks is plumb and level
  • Metal Fire Ring Insert — Lining the interior of the fire pit to contain fire and protect blocks
  • Rubber Mallet — Adjusting block placement
  • Safety Glasses — Protecting eyes during cutting
  • Wet Saw — Cutting pavers to fit around the fire pit
