Plumbing fail on the farm! Backwards? You decide

What happens here

The video opens with the host, 'Stoney Ridge Farmer,' and a guest, 'That Fix It Guy' (a professional plumber), introducing the project: installing a swing check valve as part of a larger off-grid solar water system. The system pumps water from a well, powered by solar panels, up to a 1500-gallon water tank on a hilltop. The primary purpose of the swing check valve is to prevent backflow of water from the elevated tank, which would constantly push pressure back onto the wellhead. The guest demonstrates the internal mechanism of the brass swing check valve, showing how a hinged brass disc allows water to flow in one direction but closes to prevent flow in the opposite direction.

Goal: This step introduces the project, the off-grid solar water system, and the purpose of the swing check valve. It explains how the valve prevents backflow from a water storage tank located at a higher elevation back into the well, thus protecting the pump and ensuring consistent water supply.
