Painting Stucco & Repairing Cracks With Caulking & Elastomeric Paint

What happens here

After applying the elastomeric paint, inspect the surface to ensure all cracks are covered and the paint has achieved the recommended 20-mil thickness. The elastomeric coating will create a flexible, rubber-like seal that expands and contracts with the stucco, preventing cracks from reappearing. The careful application and proper mill thickness will ensure the cracks are completely hidden and the surface is protected for years to come.

Goal: Ensure all cracks are covered and the elastomeric paint functions as intended.

Hide

because you got to get that buildup on the stucco. So, the last America will get on there thick enough to the proper mill thickness and do its job of spanning the gaps of those hairline cracks and basically creating a nice flexible rubber seal that will span those uh cracks because they'll actually expand and contract over the winter time versus summertime. those cracks will get bigger and smaller and that elasame coating will flex and and not actually snap and break if applied properly over those cracks and you won't see them again. Here's a look at the side. We've already sprayed this side and I've inspected it for cracks and you can't see any of the cracks anymore on the side of the house whatsoever. They're covered 100%. Also, one thing to keep in mind when you're actually spraying this extremely thick product, it's like it's super super thick. Kind of like the product we use, Steel Bond or Prime RX, and you got to use a a really large tip to spray it. But you also got to change out your filters on your gun or your your machine. We change our gun filters out to a 30 mesh filter. We typically run 100 mesh filters in our guns, but you're going to have a real problem with that thick product going through those filters. So, make sure you change out your your gun filters.
