Always strain your paint to remove any dirt, clumps, or debris that may have accumulated, especially in modern paints which can be "dirty." Use a five-gallon strainer bag, placing it into a clean bucket, and pouring the paint through. Wear plastic gloves to easily squeeze out all the paint from the strainer without getting your hands messy. After straining, thoroughly stir the paint to achieve a consistent color and smooth texture. The video recommends using a HYDE Stir Whip, which attaches to a drill, allowing efficient stirring within a 5-gallon bucket without needing to remove the lid.
