Apply Paint Coats

What happens here

For a durable and even finish on exterior surfaces, always apply two coats of paint. Begin with a light first coat, which helps the paint dry quickly and provides a good base. After the first coat has dried, apply a heavy second coat for full coverage and color saturation. For large surface areas like the main body of the house, using a paint sprayer (such as the Titan ControlMax 1900 HEA Sprayer shown in the video) is highly recommended, as it is 4 to 5 times faster than traditional brushing and rolling. However, for detailed work on trim, including window trim, fascia, and door trim, hand rolling or brushing (using a brush like the Paint Life Brooke Paint Brush) is preferable. This method allows for better penetration and adhesion on the trim, resulting in a neater and more professional appearance. Ensure to wear a respirator mask during spraying for safety.
