Apply First Coat of Stain

What happens here

Apply the first coat of concrete stain by spraying it onto the brick surface. Since this is a light color being applied over dark brick, apply a thin, even coat. For the first coat, simply spray the stain; do not back-brush or back-roll it yet. The initial coat acts as a primer and a base layer for subsequent coats. Because brick and grout have many angles and porous surfaces, multiple coats will be necessary to achieve full coverage and an even finish.
