OUR TOP 3 EXPENSES GETTING STARTED FARMING Tour of farm equipment and a look at our chicken coop!
What happens here
Josh reveals the materials and equipment intended for a future processing shed: a three-compartment stainless steel sink and a prep table. This setup is planned for processing wild game, personal chickens, and deer, aligning with the homesteading philosophy of the farm. He then shows a stack of old barnwood logs, reclaimed from a barn (as seen in a previous video), to be used in future construction projects on the farm. Nearby, a large manure pile (affectionately called 'manure mountain') is highlighted as a nutrient source for the soil. Additional hay-making equipment is shown, including a V-rake and a haybine (cutter and crimper), which prepares the grass for baling. Finally, he presents a John Deere Frontier RC2072 scrape blade for driveway maintenance and a Land Pride tiller (linebacker tiller) for soil preparation, along with a grapple for the front of the tractor to move brush and logs.
Goal: Showcase new and essential equipment for processing, building, and land management.
