What happens here

This video demonstrates a method for installing a cocktail rail on a deck railing with prefabricated panels. The key technique involves routing out sections of the cocktail rail to perfectly fit over the low-profile railing brackets, ensuring a seamless and flush appearance. The rail is then secured from underneath using screws, preventing visible fasteners on the top surface. Detailed steps for pre-drilling and fastening are provided.

Got this railing done. Last step, our cocktail rail. Show you a little trick. Come on in here. Even though these brackets are so low profile, they'll still cause a little bit of light to be able to get through here. So, what we do is route this out where the bracket and the post is. See, we've done that on this cocktail rail. Throw it on there. Boom. You're not going to see anything. It's not lined up right now, but it will be. Now, how do we fasten it? It's a great question. I'm glad you asked. Okay, we are going to pre-drill through the top and then we're going to put screws through the bottom. 1/4in drill bit. Can you see that? How it's just fitting right over top. Beautiful 2in screw. That's good. Does it look good? She's locked in for justice and she's looking mighty fine if I do say so myself. [bell]
