one, add a vertical element to your deck [music] or patio space. It's just going to add another dimension to the whole project. You can add some privacy with it or a shade sail. So, it's also super functional. [music] Number two, your decking design. Get creative with it. You're going to have to buy the boards [music] one way or another. So, just by changing the direction, you can add a really cool interest. and with accent colors. It's really going to set it off, [music] give you another dimension to your color palette, which I love. Number three, we've got the [music] outdoor kitchen. When it's barbecue time, it's going to be the centerpiece of the whole project. That's where all the action's going to be happening. [music] So, if you can build it in, it not only gives it a lot more function, but it looks awesome. It's a cool visual element. You can do [music] another texture on the outside wall like we did with the adorn stone. So, it's just another way to elevate the whole design of the project. Number four, the patio design. Again, [music] you're going to have to buy the same amount of papers either way. Buy a couple different [music] products so that you can mix and match and create a really unique functional design. [music] We've incorporated a couple different products here and it adds that visual element, but with the walkway effect that [music] we've created around the steps and leading to and from the project, it just adds another functionality element as well. Number five, think outside the box with a custom feature. Here we did this light wall. Turned out awesome, but just try to think of [music] something unique. Doesn't have to be overly complicated that you just might not see every day. It's going to be an attention grabber on your project and it's going to be the thing that people talk about because they might not have ever seen it before. So, try to get creative as much as you can and just incorporate something a little bit different. Number six, landscaping and lighting. That is the finishing touches on the project. [music] It really sets it off. The landscaping is going to soften everything up. It's going to make it feel like [music] this outdoor space is anchored into your backyard. It's going to create a good transition from house to landscape and yard. So, definitely don't forget [music] or skimp on your landscaping. And with that, the lighting, it accents all your landscaping and it's [music] going to create so much more functionality because most of the time you're using this space, [music] it's going to be evening or nighttime. And you want to make sure it's illuminated for safety and the quintessential vibe factor. [music] Lighting is definitely going to add that. So, don't forget it. Hopefully, these tips helped [music and singing] you and you enjoyed this project. This is definitely one of my favorites that we've done. I just love how everything came together.
