One of many obstacles you’ll face installing larger scale backyard spaces is working w/easements. 
What happens here
Line the entire excavated trench with a durable geotextile fabric. Ensure that the fabric covers the bottom and sides of the trench, with a generous overhang on both sides. This excess fabric will eventually be folded over the top of the drain stone to completely encapsulate it, preventing soil from migrating into the drain and clogging it over time.
Goal: Prevent soil from contaminating the drain stone
