What happens here

This video presents Kubota's "Versatile Platform Robot," a prototype electric vehicle (EV) designed for agricultural and construction applications. The presenter, Brett, explains the robot's unique ability to transform its physical dimensions—width, height, and length—to adapt to diverse operational needs and environmental conditions. He discusses the vehicle's role in Kubota's innovation cycle, serving as a concept to test advanced technologies like adaptive mechanics and various power systems, including EV, hydrogen, and other alternative fuels. While the exact prototype may not enter the market, its integrated innovations are expected to be incorporated into future Kubota equipment, enhancing functionality for farmers and contractors.

All right, Brett. What are we looking at with this, now? So, this is Kubota's versatile platform robot. It's a transforming robot that can change its shape to different operations and different conditions. So, it can uh change its width uh to adjust to row spacing. It can change its height based on different uh crop uh growth. And it can adjust its length, which allows it to counterbalance the center of gravity, uh adapting to different uh implements, different operations. So, now this is a prototype where you're testing different concepts in this one vehicle and then using that to identify which concepts you want to bring out to the market in a practical application in the construction industry and in the agricultural industry? That's correct. So, this is part of our innovation cycle. We identify a problem and then we reimagine what that could what the solution could be. And we put that all of that technology into a concept vehicle to get feedback from customers. So, now this one is an EV, but you have nothing against sticking a good old Kubota diesel engine in one of these things and letting it rip and snort. Is that right? We love our diesel engines. We're really proud of them. This isn't an EV and we're exploring different power systems uh including uh alternative fuels, hydrogen, hydrogen fuel cell. But, uh we still love the diesel engine. Uh this electric vehicle allows us to explore some of the properties properties of EV. Allows us to do some things with the battery for counterbalance, but we're not against the diesel. So, people may not exactly see this unit come to market, but you may see some of the innovations that this unit integrates coming to market in their skid loaders and other equipment that contractors and farmers and agricultural people will be using, correct? That's correct. All right. We're giving it with a choice. Thanks. Thank you, sir. Appreciate it. Right.
