What happens here

Before routing, it's crucial to set up a stable and accurate guide for your composite material and router. As seen in the video, several pieces of wood are laid out and likely secured to a workbench or sawhorse. This arrangement functions as a custom jig. Position the main composite board you intend to bend on this jig. The jig should ensure that the composite board is held securely and provides a straight edge for the router's base to follow, guaranteeing a consistent V-groove cut. The V-groove will be cut on the backside of the material where the bend will occur.

Goal: Create a stable and accurate guide for routing the V-groove

Tools and materials

  • Drill/Driver — Fastening the wood scraps with screws
  • Screws — Securing the wood scraps to create the jig
  • Wood Scraps — Constructing the routing jig/guide
  • Workbench or Sawhorses — Providing a stable surface for assembly and routing
