Not The Start We Hoped For - We Broke The Water Main

What happens here

A mini-excavator equipped with a specialized auger attachment was used to drive the helical piles into the ground at the marked locations. The process involves screwing the large, screw-like piles deep into the earth to provide a stable foundation. While installing these piles, a buried water service line was inadvertently hit, resulting in water gushing from the ground. This unplanned incident halts further pile installation until the plumbing issue is resolved.

Goal: Helical piles were installed into the ground using an excavator-mounted auger, during which an underground water service line was accidentally struck, causing a significant leak.
