NO! I don't want the Government on My Farm! Here's how I messed up!

What happens here

Run water lines from the central cistern to all individual Mirafount and tire water tanks across the farm. These lines should be buried below the frost line in trenches to prevent freezing and ensure year-round water delivery. Use electric fences and posts to section off pastures into smaller areas (e.g., four sections as shown in the video). This allows for rotational grazing, moving cows every 12 hours to new sections. This practice maximizes grass utilization, fertilizes the land with manure, and helps control parasites, eliminating the need for deworming. It also reduces animal pressure on specific areas around water sources.

Goal: Ensure widespread water access and promote sustainable grazing.

Tools and materials

  • Electric Fence Charger — Powering the electric fences
  • Electric Fence Posts — Sectioning off pastures for rotational grazing
  • Electric Fence Wire — Creating temporary pasture divisions
  • HDPE Pipe — Water distribution to various tanks
  • Trenching Machine — Burying water lines across the farm
