What happens here
The manufacturing process begins with raw plate steel and tubular/round stock steel arriving at the factory. These raw materials are set up on a large plasma cutter, which is a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. An operator loads the steel plates onto the plasma table and uses the control panel to initiate the cutting process. The plasma cutter uses a high-velocity jet of ionized gas to precisely cut out various components and parts for the attachments, generating bright sparks and molten metal.
Goal: Cut raw steel into precise components using a plasma cutter.
Tools and materials
- CNC Plasma Cutter Retro Systems — Precisely cutting steel plates into component parts
- Plasma Cutter Control Panel Lenovo — Operating and programming the plasma cutter
- Plate Steel — The primary raw material for cutting out attachment components
- Round Stock Steel — Used for various solid components and pins
- Tubular Steel — Used for structural components, cut with a chop saw
